Turkish e-commerce giant Trendyol has launched its first pop-up store in the Gulf region.
Based in Saudia Arabia, at Al Nakheel Mall in Riyadh, the store’s launch was marked with an exclusive event recently where Turkish TV stars, Simay Barlas and Halit Özgür Sarı made special guest appearances, meeting fans and sharing their fashion inspiration from Trendyol.
The store, which will remain open until the end of Ramadan, has been introduced so consumers can explore the highlights of Trendyol’s debut Ramadan collection in the Gulf. Its first own-brand womenswear Ramadan fashion collection, was created exclusively by Trendyol’s in-house design team and produced by a selection of high-quality manufacturers in Türkiye. It has been made available across Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait.
It was first reported in August, last year, that Trendyol had begun iniating operations in the region, beginning with the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It said it planned to use a warehouse in Dubai for international operations including returns in the Gulf region
A recent report showed Trendyol.com led the Turkish e-commerce market in 2022, generating e-commerce net sales of US$3,7267.9 million in the country. It was followed by hepsiburada.com and lcwaikiki.com.
