Dutch fintech Mollie has announced it is combining with Klaviyo to help merchants boost revenue through personalised marketing automation.

The deal means that merchants of the two firms can use information collected from their payment transactions within Klaviyo’s customer data platform to personalise communications and marketing email flows.

This includes giving merchants the ability to close the loop on reporting, generate insights by user behaviour, and reveal new growth opportunities. Mollie said.

The integration is seen as a way to companies understand their customer base whilst creating more targeted, relevant marketing campaigns.

Access to Mollie’s transaction and order data allows our joint customers to improve the quality of experience of their end-customers. Through the integration, transaction and order data collected by Mollie allows Klaviyo customers to sync customer profiles, organise new customer information, and create audience segments. It also facilitates the creation of custom email flows that are triggered in real time based on events and metrics.

In addition, merchants will have tools to build more personalised campaigns based on customer subscription status such as when their subscription starts, when it’s about to expire, when it needs to be renewed or when their payment did not succeed.
