Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, inaugurated the Seamless North Africa 2024 Conference and Exhibition, on Monday, September 2, 2024. The event is being held over two days, September 2-3, 2024, under the theme “The Future of Digital Commerce Across North Africa.”
It is worth noting that the conference aims to enhance the future of digital commerce, fintech, and banking services, and to discuss the challenges facing Arab economies in light of the significant role that technological innovations are playing in banking, e-commerce, and the financial sector in general.
During the opening of the conference, the Secretary-General emphasized the importance of creating an economic environment conducive to innovation and adopting a new philosophy characterized by development and modernity. He expressed his aspiration to fully utilize the untapped potential and resources in many Arab countries.
Mr. Jamal Rushdi, the spokesperson for the Secretary-General, stated that the Secretary-General consistently supports and sponsors such events, which aim to keep pace with the requirements and developments of the modern age, to prepare Arab youth, invest in their capabilities, enhance the spirit of fair competition, and motivate this broad and vital sector to perform effectively. He added that the Secretary-General welcomed the efforts of the Arab Federation for Digital Economy to keep up with the continuous changes in the technological field. Furthermore, he praised the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport for its diligent efforts to keep up with the advancements of the age and sciences, hosting numerous activities and events aimed at supporting promising talents and individuals in various fields and sciences. The most recent of these activities is hosting the “36th International Olympiad in Informatics,” from September 1 to 8, 2024, at the Academy’s headquarters in Alexandria.
افتتح السيد احمد ابو الغيط الامين العام لجامعة الدول العربية الاثنين ٢ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٤ أعمال مؤتمر ومعرض سيملس شمال أفريقيا ٢٠٢٤، والذي يعقد على مدار يومي ٢ و٣ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٤ تحت شعار “مستقبل التجارة الرقمية عبر شمال أفريقيا”.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن المؤتمر يهدف إلى تعزيز مستقبل التجارة الرقمية، والتكنولوجيا المالية، والخدمات المصرفية، ومناقشة التحديات التى تواجه الاقتصادات العربية فى ظل الدور الكبير الذي أصبحت تلعبه الابتكارات التكنولوجية فى العمل المصرفي والتجارة الإلكترونية والقطاع المالي بشكل عام.
اكد الامين العام للجامعة العربية خلال افتتاح المؤتمر على أهمية تهيئة بيئة اقتصادية حاضنة للابتكار، وانتهاج فلسفة جديدة تتسم بالتطور والحداثة. معربا عن تطلعه إلى الاستفادة الكاملة من الإمكانيات والطاقات الغير مستغلة فى العديد من الدول العربية.
وصرح المستشار جمال رشدي، المتحدث باسم السيد الامين العام، بان السيد الامين العام دائما ما يحرص على دعم ورعاية مثل تلك الفعاليات الرامية إلى مواكبة متطلبات وتطورات العصر الحديث، والي تأهيل الشباب العربي والاستثمار في امكانياتهم وتعزيز روح التنافس الشريف وتحفيز هذا القطاع العريض والهام على الاداء الناجز . مضيفا ان السيد الامين العام قد أعرب فى هذا الإطار عن ترحيبه بجهود الاتحاد العربي للاقتصاد الرقمي لمواكبة المتغيرات المستمرة على الساحة التكنولوجية. وكذا، بسعي الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والنقل والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري الحثيث لمواكبة تطورات العصر وعلومه، واستضافة العديد من الأنشطة والفعاليات الرامية لدعم المواهب والعناصر المبشرة فى مختلف المجالات والعلوم ، وآخرها استضافة فعاليات “الأولمبياد الدولي السادس والثلاثون للمعلوماتية”، خلال الفترة من ١ إلى ٨ سبتمبر ٢٠٢٤، بمقر الأكاديمية بالإسكندرية.
