Cloud-based neobank, Viva Wallet has added Tap to Pay on iphone allowing UK merchants to accept in-person contactless payments via its Viva Terminal iOS App.
Tap to Pay on iPhone accepts all forms of contactless payments, including Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards and other digital wallets. It requires only an iPhone and the Viva Terminal iOS App with no additional hardware or payment terminal needed.

We are excited that we can now offer Tap to Pay on iPhone to our UK business customers, enabling them to reach their full potential,” said Haris Karonis, Viva Wallet’s Founder & CEO on the announcement.
According to the firm, the Viva Terminal App is suitable for a range of businesses from the hotel pool bar service to the shop-in-shop marketplace, to freelancers and sole proprietors, allowing customers to pay onsite or on the move.
Merchants can download the app on an iPhone XS or later running the latest iOS version. The Viva Terminal App is also compatible with any existing bank account and includes advanced encryption and security protocols, the company said.
Apple introduced the Tap to Pay feature for UK businesses in June. Revolut and Tyl by NatWest were among the first payment platforms to offer the service to their U.K. business customers. In addition to Viva Wallet, Apple said a host of other providers were preparing to follow, including Adyen, Dojo, myPOS, Stripe, SumUp, Worldline, and Zettle by PayPal.
