US pet health company, Vetsource has introduced a new payment processing service for the veterinary industry, aimed at reducing crowded reception areas and saving hours of administrative time each week.
According to the firm, the new platform will simplify payment collection for hospitalised patients through contactless payment options, like text-to-pay and offer a solution that has been absent in the veterinary industry until now.
In addition, the streamlining of payment collection and end-of-day reconciliation is said to result in fewer errors, saving the practice hours of administrative time.
Practices will also be able to pull client data in real-time and execute express checkouts, reducing the amount of time spent manually entering data.
The firm currently serves more than 10,000 veterinary practices with its latest solution adding to a portfolio that includes prescription management, client engagement, and data services.
Speaking on the announcement, Kurt Green, Vetsource CEO said, “Our goal was to take what we know from our 15 years in the veterinary industry and build a service that meets the unique needs of veterinarians and their clients. A pain point for many veterinary hospitals is that their current payment systems are clunky and awkward, proving difficult and time-consuming for staff and causing friction for the customer,”
He added, “With the combination of our deep domain knowledge and our prior payments experience, we knew we could solve a unique problem and bring a valuable payments solution to the industry – one that would be affordable, offer better reporting and reconciliation, and have a more modern-usable interface.”
