UK-based platform myPOS has partnered with Raiffeisen Bank to enhance contactless payments in Hungary.
The deal allows Raiffeisen account holders to immediately start using myPOS tools to accept payments, see transactions in real time and settle funds in a Raiffeisen account free of charge. Bank clients will also benefit from special POS terminal prices, the payment firm said in a statement.
In addition to Raiffeisen’s banking services, SMEs in Hungary will gain access to POS terminals, integrated mobile payments and myPOS Online, an e-commerce building platform and online checkout where merchants pay a small transaction fee, only once they have completed a sale
“As consumer preferences are shifting toward contactless payments, businesses in Hungary require convenient payment solutions more than ever. Raiffeisen Hungary is one step ahead, by joining forces with myPOS to introduce a superb fintech solution, suitable for every small business,” said Stefan Stankov, myPOS Chief Commercial Officer.
The bank, which has been operating in Hungary for more than 30 years, said it is offering a completely remote onboarding process for resident companies.
It follows an announcement in late 2022, that myPOS had teamed up with Coca-Cola HBC Hungary to enable the bottling company’s distributors to start handling digital payments. The Hungarian distributor fleet was equipped with 450 smart myPOS devices as part of the deal.
“As a digital innovator that enables merchants to grow their business from any spot, myPOS is proud to partner with Raiffeisen Hungary. This partnership presents the best of both worlds: the innovative fintech solutions of myPOS combined with the powerful banking services of Raiffeisen Hungary,” added Zoltan Gyenge, myPOS Managing Director for DACH and Hungary.
