PhonePe has named former TerraPay executive, Ritesh Pai, as CEO of its International Payments business.
Pai, a seasoned digital payments sector leader, was responsible for launching and implementing global payment products and solutions in his last role as the President of Products and Solutions at TerraPay.
Prior to that he served as the Senior Group President & Chief Digital Officer at Yes Bank, where he led the digital strategy and transformation for the bank and launched several successful partnerships with leading fintech players. PhonePe was founded in December 2015 and has emerged as one of India’s largest fintech platforms. Last year, it was listed as the number one platform in India for UPI transactions.
