Jumia, Egypt’s leading e-commerce platform, has announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Contact CrediTech, the digital consumer finance arm of Contact Financial Holding. The collaboration aims to deliver enhanced services to their respective customers.
The partnership, which began in January 2023, focuses on providing various payment methods to facilitate online purchases and create diverse financial solutions for Jumia and Contact customers. Both companies prioritise digital transformation aligned with the Egyptian government’s vision for 2030, utilising enhanced technologies in the financial technology field.
Abdellatif Olama, CEO of Jumia Egypt, expressed enthusiasm about the continued collaboration, emphasizing their commitment to offering the best online shopping experience. Omar El Fiky, MD of Contact CrediTech, highlighted fee-free, interest-free, and down payment-free options for joint customers.
Said Zater, CEO of Contact Financial Holding, emphasized the shared vision to enhance the online shopping experience. As part of Jumia’s 12th-anniversary celebration, customers can finance purchases through Contact without fees or interest for up to 6 months from May 27th to June 9th.
