Launches
Fintech company Bling and Deutsche Telekom united forces this week to introduce phone plans with Bling Mobile By merging the worlds of fintech and telecommunications the firms are aiming to capitalize on a growing trend of e-SIMs.
Meanwhile, Wish unveiled ‘Wish Trade-In,’ a trade-in programme for old tech, in collaboration with Remarketed, offering users in select European regions the chance to exchange devices for cash.
Partnerships
Froda expanded its collaboration with Visa to streamline lending processes for SMEs across Europe, paving the way for other financial institutions and neobanks to access Froda’s card-based embedded lending products.
Nexi came together with e-commerce platform Woo to increase payment options for Woo merchants while one of Europe’s largest SME lenders, iwoca partnered with Countingup to enhance access to swift loans and finance for SMEs.
Fintech Aevi annoucned it is collaborating with global card processing cloud platform Silverflow to support banks in direct payment processing. Among the benefits, it will enables banks to cater to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), offer all-in-one smart Point-of-Sale (POS) products, and facilitate stand-alone payments.
Research
Equifax, the data, analytics, and technology company, released research indicating a substantial increase in fashion item refunds in the UK. The study revealed that around 40% of UK residents seek refunds for clothing, footwear, or fashion accessories.
Funding
Finally, in Spain, fintech company Embat secured EUR 14.7 million in Series A funding to advance its treasury management solutions. Embat is aiming to address several legacy challenges by offering a faster and more cost-effective end-to-end treasury system setup.
