BVK Technology has launched its smart, one-time-code (OTC) delivery box for retailers and couriers.

The last-mile solution secures deliveries in a customised parcel with a key-less Bluetooth lock which can only be opened once the consumer uses a personal code with their mobile app.

With OTC delivery, the lock only unlocks if the consumer, the address and time of delivery are correct, while, all last mile delivery activities are recorded to resolve any potential disputes.

“BVK smart locks eliminate physical keys. Centrally managing users, schedules and access points results in significant annual operational cost savings, greater efficiency, improved security and reduced carbon footprint,” said Kursat Kurt, CEO & Founder.

He added, “We are excited to hear positive feedback from retailers and couriers about how the OTC delivery box improves the last mile delivery consumer experience.”

The innovation is being showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, this week, along with BVK’s sister company, Aladdins Cloud. The company added that the delivery solution can be used by couriers and retailers or delivered as part of the company’s Fast and Locked courier service.

In recent years, as consumer demand for online purchases and home deliveries has grown, the last-mile delivery customer experience has become a critical means for retailers and couriers to differentiate themselves. Common considerations include both the speed and security of the delivery, as well as increased personalisation and added hygiene measures.
