Dutch payment provider Buckaroo has launched a new payments app on Open SaaS platform and marketplace, BigCommerce.

In a statement the company said its integration on BigCommerce’s App Store was completed at the end of March, allowing customers to benefit from client-sided payments.

In other words, there is no longer a need to exit to an external payment page. Instead, users can pay directly from the checkout. According to the firm, this can result in up to 35% more conversion on average, as there is less chance of user drop-out during the payment process. In addition, the same app, which caters for more than 25 international payment methods, is said to enable partial refunds from within the BigCommerce environment. It is suitable for both BigCommerce’s basic template, as well as customised headless integrations.

“Within the cooperation, we discovered where Buckaroo’s added value lies in the existing ecosystem of BigCommerce. After an intensive development period, I am happy to say that the app is available in the App Store,” said Rens Gerritsen, Technical Partner Manager at Buckaroo

The app supports payments from iDEAL, e-wallets, BNPL services like Riverty and Klarna as well as to credit cards and gift cards. Payments can also be made in multiple currencies while the checkout is fully customisable by country, amount of money, payment surcharge and order of displayed payment methods. An online shop’s house style can also be implemented in the checkout in terms of colour, logo and tone-of-voice, the company said.
