Online retail marketplace AliExpress has introduced a series of upgrades to enhance the shopping experience in major markets, the Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group has announced.

The ecommerce company said it was including free returns and three-day delivery as part of a promotional campaign for its Summer Sale which began on June 10.

In addition, it has extended its AliExpress Choice programme which was launched, in February, as a free return service for a selection of products across several markets.

The platform has now expanded the free return service to all products for consumers in Spain, the first time it has done so for any market. The expansion means Spanish consumers can avail of free return for one product in each order within 15 days of receiving their purchase. The company said that this nationwide free return policy will gradually be rolled out in other major markets.

AliExpress added that it has enabled three-day delivery for consumers across Spain for a selection of AliExpress Choice products with a “three-day delivery” tag, while consumers in the U.S. can expect to receive their AliExpress Choice orders as fast as five days after purchase. AliExpress also announced free shipping for stand-alone products in countries including France, Germany, Italy, Poland, South Korea, Spain and the U.K., among others.

The AliExpress Summer Sale, which is targeting consumers in Europe and the U.S., kicked off with a presale period on June 10 and will officially run from June 12 to 18.
